Library policies are enacted by the 7-member Library Board of Trustees, a panel of local citizens who are either appointed by the Village of Union Grove Board President and confirmed by the Village Board, or, by the Racine County Executive and confirmed by the Racine County Board of Supervisors, to oversee library activities in accordance with Chapter 43 of the Wisconsin state statutes.

The Library Board typically meets on the 2nd Wednesday of each month at 5:00 pm, at the library. Meeting dates for 2025 are as follows: January 8, February 12 (rescheduled to February 19 due to weather), March 12, April 9, May 14, June 11, July 9, August 13, September 10, October 8, November 12, and December 10.

The meeting agenda is posted at the library, and distributed to the Union Grove Village Clerk and the Racine Journal Times, 24 hours in advance of the meeting, per Wisconsin statute. The most current agenda will also be available on the library’s website.
